Seddon partners with Bolton’s Powerwave

Bolton-based national construction firm Seddon Construction has partnered with the town’s Powerwaves Skills Centre to assist construction students in preparing for a career in the industry.
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Bolton-based national construction firm Seddon Construction has partnered with the town’s Powerwaves Skills Centre to assist construction students in preparing for a career in the industry.

The Skills Centre provides training for 14-16-year-olds, with around 100 students attending the centre every week.

Seddon will now provide a range of guidance, mentoring and support for Powerwave students, visiting the centre regularly and arrange work experience, while also advising on apprenticeships and sponsoring an award for students.

Powerwave has also been presented with a new circular saw by Seddon.

Employing over 1,000 people nationally, Seddon took on 88 apprentices last year – for which it received over 1,400 applications and interviewed over 500 candidates.
