Temporary labour procurer de Poel has appointed five non-executive directors to its advisory board.

The new board members are:

• Gerry Baxter, a former strategy and change management partner with professional services firms KPMG and Andersen, now managing director of human capital consulting firm Baxter Neumann 

• Sir Merrick Cockell, leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and chairman of the Local Government Association

• Carol Kavanagh, group human resources director for builders merchants Travis Perkins

• James Spittle, an experienced professional working within supply chain logistics, with chairman experience at GS1 UK and CAN, and whose previous roles include group supply chain director for Kingfisher and Whitbread

• Keith Wyness, an international businessman with over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive and board member with the highest level companies, as well as leading projects in sports, leisure and industry

The board, which meets at least six times a year, also includes de Poel’s managing director, Joe Tully, and sales and marketing director, a position held by recent hire Charles Gray.
