APSCo in Hong Kong: Day Two

Our exclusive update from the second day of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo)’s trade delegation to Hong Kong, from APSCO director Marilyn Davidson
Wed, 23 Jan 2013
Following a fantastic meal and a good night’s sleep, day two proved to be a real success, kicking off with a very informative morning at the consulate. All the delegates involved now know all about taxation in Hong Kong (which is much lower than the UK), employment law (much less stringent than in the UK) and what it’s really like to live and work in Hong Kong from an expat who’s been here most of his life (much better than the UK!).

Everything we’re learning really points towards the fact that Hong Kong provides a huge opportunity for business and recruitment, so we hope to be able to bring back several useful tips at the end of the delegation!

Tonight will see a client networking reception held at the Consulate where the delegates are looking forward to meeting some of their prospective clients and, who knows; they may even do some business.

More tomorrow from exciting Hong Kong!
