Sky people director takes talent VP role at CIPD, president Rider re-elected

Deborah Baker, director of people at broadcaster Sky, has been elected to the two-year vice-presidency for organisation, resourcing & talent planning at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Deborah Baker, director of people at broadcaster Sky, has been elected to the two-year vice-presidency for organisation, resourcing & talent planning at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
She replaces previous incumbent, BT people director Clare Chapman.The election took place at yesterday’s AGM, which also saw president Gill Rider re-elected for a second two-year term, although she has announced her intention to stand down after one year allowing members to vote in a new president at next December’s AGM.
There is one other newly-elected VP at the CIPD, Janet Cooper of professional services firm Tapestry, responsible for performance & reward. VP for diversity & inclusion Stephen Frost was also re-elected.
