Norman Rose (pictured left) is the new executive director of the Recruitment Society. His appointment follows Steve Huxham’s stepping down from the chief executive role within the organisation.

Rose told Recruiter last night (11 Dec 2012) at the society’s annual holiday reception that he was taking the new role on a temporary basis “to move the society forward in accordance with our new business plan, building on what [Steve Huxham] has done over the last 10 years”.
Rose, who also is the chairman of the European Business Services Round Table, said that the organisation will also look to build on its recently developed regional structure and to develop both membership and its membership services.

Huxham told Recruiter that he will continue his involvement with the society in the London regional group. He said he was also building on his portfolio of non-executive directorships as well as continuing to work with telecoms firm Carlisle Interconnect Technologies.

The Recruitment Society currently has about 100 members and a LinkedIn group of 5,500.
