Telecommunications firm Optus is to open 33 stores which will create 200 new jobs, as part of a plan to refocus its retail and distribution strategy.

Telecommunications firm Optus is to open 33 stores which will create 200 new jobs, as part of a plan to refocus its retail and distribution strategy.

Better IT systems and infrastructure for retail staff, and increased focus on employee training are also part of the plans.

According to local paper the Sydney Morning Herald, this comes the week after the completion of a programme which saw 750 management, back office and support roles made redundant.
