Manchester headquartered BCL Legal has launched a new department, BCL Graduates, which aims to help talented graduates get their first step on the legal career ladder.

The new service is available to graduates and paralegals with less than six months’ experience in the Law and is an added value service to all BCL Legal clients.

Graduates simply register their details on the website, upload their CV and complete their profile for free. They then indicate what and where they have studied, their grades, electives, the locations they have ties to, their interests and when they are available from.

Law firms also register and – once verified – they can directly search for candidates based on the key criteria.

James Batt, director of BCL Legal, says: “We know that it can be tough for graduates to secure their first position so we wanted to devise a simple to use and accessible platform to help them.

“It will also save on marketing and recruitment spend, which can only be a good thing in such challenging times [for legal firms].”
