Medical recruiter Your World is planning to open new offices in the US, the Far East and the Middle East, according to managing director, Tony Moss.

Moss says: “We already have a talent pipeline running between Australia and the UK for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.

“Our new operations will increase this global footprint further. With offices opening in the USA, the Middle East and Far East, our clients will have access to a truly international candidate pool.

“The Middle East is going to be key. In fact, we have just returned from a major trade exhibition in Abu Dhabi and have had some very interesting conversations.  Not only has there been a recent report revealing that the number of doctors and nurses will have to double in a decade but also the chief executive of a major hospital said that recruitment was a problem that ‘kept him up at night.’

“Every Gulf nation is building new hospitals but with a well publicised lack of skills in the region, it is clear that staffing is going to be a real issue. There is a shortage in every single profession in healthcare, from pharmacists and speech therapists to emergency care specialists and cardiac physiologists — a recruiter with access to an international talent pool is therefore going to be crucial.”
