World cup update continued

Continuing our series of stories connected to a certain football tournament in South Africa, chairman and CEO of InterQuest Group, Gary Ashworth, comedian Boothby Graffoe and Omid Djalili have recorded a song they describe as “the antidote to World Cup songs”.

Ashworth produced and mixed the track: Begging You as a Friend which contains the lines:

I’m begging you as a friend, don’t let me down,
but if you do, it’s OK, I will probably do what you do
I will go on with my life maybe argue with my wife
There’s just one thing I might do slightly different to you

Elsewhere, specialist multilingual recruiter Euro London Appointments reports that its London office’s employees are supporting no less than six different World Cup teams: Japan, Holland, Germany, Italy, France and England.

Let’s hope the English contingent is smiling following tonight’s match.
