Working Links’ milestone_2
Working Links, the public-private-voluntary partnership which helps unemployed and disadvantaged people back into work, is celebrating taking on its 1,000th employee, it has helped 75,000 people back into employment.
Keith Faulkner, managing director of Working Links, says: "By working with unemployed people on an individual basis and using practical measures to remove barriers to work, we have made a huge impact on people's lives and on communities all over Britain."
Working Links consultants help build jobseekers' confidence through job skills training and coaching, and provide practical assistance with filling in application forms, writing CVs and arranging childcare and transport. Employers also benefit from in-work support for at least the first 13 weeks of employment.
