India and the United Arab Emirates have signed an agreement for co-operation in manpower recruitment, the first pact of its kind aimed at protecting Indian workers from exploitation in the Gulf country, reports The Times of India. The agreement will ensure that recruitment conforms with the laws of both countries and that all Indians employed in the UAE are protected in accordance with labour laws and regulations of that nation.
