Work Wednesdays
Recruiters searching for the perfect candidate should place their job adverts on a Wednesday, according to recent research from leading graduate recruitment jobsite targetjobs.co.uk.
The research monitored the job seeking habits of over 30,000 users over a six-month period. The results discovered key trends in the behavioural patterns of those looking and applying for jobs meaning targetjobs.co.uk can provide business and agencies with invaluable insights when planning recruitment drives.
The results show that the most popular day to apply for a job is on Monday, between 2pm and 3pm. Saturday sees the least activity with very few looking or applying for a new job.
Paul Sissons, chief executive of targetjobs.co.uk, said: "This ongoing research enables us to monitor the exact activity of job seekers to help businesses to plan recruitment campaigns. With the number of graduates in the UK rising, and reports saying the value of a degree is diminishing, it is essential to optimise each job vacancy – making sure those hunting see it at the time they are going to apply."
