Women concerned of bias in IT but still recommend sector

Recently-graduated women working in the IT sector would recommend the sector as a good place for women to forge a career, but are still concerned as to gender bias in the industry, according to a survey by niche jobs board TARGETjobs IT.

While believing the mixed-gender teams bring a better mix of skills and approaches, women reported feeling lonely and isolated at times in such a male-dominated environment.

As reported by recruiter.co.uk on 28 October, 70% of female UK IT workers consider their gender a barrier to success.
