London had the biggest year-on-year increase in wireless adoption, with recent research revealing that the city has 160% more wireless access points than in 2006. This compared to percentage increases of 49 and 44% in New York and Paris, respectively. The research, carried out by business security firm RSA, is more evidence of the rise of the mobile internet and also found that public hotspots (such as in hotels, coffee shops and airports) in the capital had risen to 461, up from 364 last year.
