Wheeler anticipates rise of the RPO

Firms are set to get smaller, resulting in less corporate recruiters involved in the recruitment process.

According to recruitment guru Kevin Wheeler, the result will be smaller recruitment departments and more recruitment being outsourced to recruitment process outsourcing organisations (RPOs).

In giving his assessment of what he thought the recruitment landscape will look like in 10 years’ time, the US-based president and founder of The Future of Talent Institute told Recruiter that RPOs will deal with volume recruitment, while it will be the role of social media specialists to unearth top talent.
