Welsh recruiter Acorn has launched a human resources division as part of its expansion plans.

The division will of services including the review and development of policies and processes, career management, opinion surveys, issues management, compensation and benefits programmes, organisation change and development.

Managing director Matt Southall says: “The division has been launched in response to the increasing number of companies and organisations that are seeking specialist HR support. Some want to outsource the majority of their operations, other require a bolt-on to their existing department.”

Pat Kiely who was formerly HR director for UK operations at EADS Defence & Communications Systems will manage the division.
