Milkround launches new online applications

Generation Y students dream of being rich and famous according to a new Facebook application from graduate recruitment specialist Milkround.com.

‘My Dream Job’ enables the UK’s six million Facebook users to tell their friends about their dream career. And while they share their fantasies of stardom, they can also use the application to apply for graduate jobs, schemes and placements matched to their career preferences from graduate recruitment website Milkround.com.It found that 35% of ‘My Dream Job’ users want to be millionaires or in the Hollywood set of film stars and directors. But out of 50 dream jobs, no one wants to be a politician, campaigner or president. It appears students want a career filled with fame and fortune by becoming celebrities rather than campaigning for green issues, NHS improvements or the fight against terrorism.

The Facebook application comes hot on the heels of Milkround.com’s new Online Rep scheme enabling students from UK universities to earn cash by registering friends and colleagues to the website.

Online Rep scheme manager, Stephanie Hawkes, says: “It is amazing to see how much money some of our online reps can earn in a month for just a few hours work. Last month, one of our Reps earned around £450 and it looks like this month our top performing Reps are going to earn even more. Becoming an online rep is ideal for helping a student meet their financial commitments and cover additional Christmas expenses.”
