Managerial recruitment activity in the US has improved in January, up 3.8 points on December 2010, according to the new CareerCast.com/JobSerf Employment Index.

Managerial recruitment activity in the US has improved in January, up 3.8 points on December 2010, according to the new CareerCast.com/JobSerf Employment Index.

The January 2011 Index, measuring managerial hiring activity online, stands at 103.7, up 32.9 points on January last year.

Louisville saw an 11% increase in managerial hiring, followed by San Diego with a 6% hiring increase.

Meanwhile, Washington, DC and Baltimore showed serious declines in recruitment, with Baltimore dropping 16% and DC, 12%.
