The former management team of Berkeley Scott, including founder Roddy Watt, has launched Ultimate Resourcing in Scotland.

The firm will focus on the hospitality and leisure and accountancy and finance sectors. It aims to expand to professional sectors including sales and marketing and HR.

Sarah Kay, who has worked for Berkeley Scott and Reed, will head the temporary division. David Shirra, a Berkeley Scott veteran, will head the permanent and contract divisions.

Chairman Watt said: "We chose Scotland because it is a buoyant market and we have a strong team there."

Berkley Scott chief executive John Rose said: "There's a lot of competition out there - but we don't worry about that."
