A majority of UK employees manage to fit exercise into their working days, a survey finds
More than 70% of UK employers fit exercise into their working day, giving them a feel good factor, a survey from Select Appointments has found.
Around 20% manage to fit gym sessions into their lunchtime or after work, 22% walk or cycle to work, 2% said they practiced yoga at their desks and 23% said they used the stairs instead of the lift.
Carolyn Walker, human resources manager at Select Appointments, said: “It’s worrying that 30% of those polled don’t do any form of exercise during the working week.
“Exercise can prevent burn out, give employees a feel good factor and enhance work-life balance, which is why employers should actively encourage workers to partake in some form of activity,” Walker added.
