UK software force to be reckoned with
Fairsail’s solution helped US GMTRJ
A UK-based software developer has helped US online recruitment company Get Me the Right Job (GMTRJ) achieve an average hire rate of one out of every two candidates interviewed for its clients.
GMTRJ has automated the entire recruitment process from specifying requirements through to selection and placement using Fairsail Recruit, a cloud-based end-to-end recruitment package which has been developed on Salesforce’s Force.com platform.
Nic Scott
Nic Scott, chief executive at Fairsail, told Recruiter that among the features helping to achieve these metrics are the software’s ability to shortlist and scorecard candidates based on the client’s requirements when it comes to hard skills and behavioural competencies. “Interviewers can score each candidate along a pre-defined yardstick and create an environment for consistent selection,” he said. “This is one of the reasons for a high conversion rate.”
Among the selection tools built in are sets of customisable questions and the ability to provide interviewers with prompts that relate to key points about the job and client company. “Questions can range from simply asking people if they have a visa, to complex branch logic used when, for example, dealing with an aircraft maintenance company,” explained Scott.
Fairsail allows recruiters to post jobs to social media channels from the application (as well as to job boards) and then track where responses come from via a dashboard. There is also an internal referral system built in which allows current employees to easily share a career opportunity within their company with their own social networks.
Fairsail’s complete suite of Total Talent Management software spans HR information, human capital management and pay flow modules, as
well as recruitment. It has SME users in the UK but has other customers in the US alongside GMTRJ. “Because of the cloud we’ve been able to sell locally but also into the US,” said Scott. “The US is ahead of us, not in thinking, but in that their reflex [response] is to look to the cloud when buying software rather than anywhere else. We’re not quite there in the UK yet.”
