Despite the price of fuel coming down, driving recruiters should remain committed to fuel efficiency, a driving recruiter has claimed.

Following yesterday’s price cuts at petrol pumps across the country, Chris Chidley, chief executive at Driver Hire, told Recruiter that his firm was in the process of rolling out a driving fuel efficiency campaign and cutting fuel costs will continue to be an issue for the sector.

Chidley said: “Lower fuel prices must help the transport sector. However, there are other factors in the economy that may mask that benefit.

“Escalating fuel prices made every company think about how they could improve efficiency in their business with regards to the amount of fuel will use which is fundamentally a problem we all will have.”
