Logistics recruiter Cast UK has joined the NO campaign against Manchester’s congestion charge.

Logistics recruiter Cast UK has joined the NO campaign against Manchester’s congestion charge.

Wayne Brophy, managing director of Cast UK, believes that the charge will cause businesses to look for alternative sites out of the charge’s catchment area and consumers will shop elsewhere.

Brophy says: “As an employer we have to think how we can attract the best talent, but possible candidates will think twice about having to pay anywhere up to £1,200 per year to come to work in the city. If you’re employing hundreds of people and already based in the city centre then it’s a huge burden on top of existing employment costs.
