Job board Totaljobs.com has launched Totaljobs Barometer that allows users to access a range of analytical data about the UK’s online recruitment market across 33 sectors.
The ‘Totaljobs Barometer’ data can be filtered so that users can focus in on a particular region or sector, meaning that patterns specific to those areas can be identified and analysed.
Based on these finding, Totaljobs will produce quarterly white papers to illustrate the supply and demand within the jobs landscape, with the first launched yesterday.
Some of the key points from the Totaljobs Barometer white paper are:
- the number of online jobseekers fell by 300,000 in May to 9.1m for the ninth consecutive month
- the engineering, manufacturing and utilities sector showed the greatest number of jobs posted with over 19,000
- there is strong demand for secretarial, PA and administrator sector, with 26 applications per job post.
