Social media sites are a useful tool in uncovering talent but the secret to success in executive search is to provide top level advice on who is best suited for a role, according to Tony Vardy, managing director at executive search firm Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann.

For more from Vardy, see the latest issue of Recruiter, out today, which also reveals the readiness of UK firms ahead of the impending Agency Worker Regulations and how Volt Europe helped technology giant 3M enhance its future graduate and IP recruiting process.

In addition, this issue’s sector focus examines how public sector recruitment departments are coping with cuts. And of course all the last fortnight’s top recruitment news.
