Around half of FTSE 100 companies do not have full online application facilities on their websites, according to a study by talent management solutions provider Taleo.

The research found that financial, pharmaceutical and natural resources are leading the way with online application facilities for candidates.

The study found that 6% of FTSE companies still do not have any careers page on their website.

Alice Snell, vice president of Taleo Research, says: “These findings indicate that many of the top companies in the UK have still not implemented technology-enabled best practices in recruitment. By effectively using full online application functionality, businesses can revolutionise their recruitment processes and drive improvements in business performance.”
