The Recruitment and Employment Confederation trade body has given three employers awards for their treatment of temps.

Architects Watkins Grey International, the Lloyds TSB bank and Yazaki Europe received the awards.

Recruitment agencies nominated the employers that treated their temps the best for the award.

Watkins Grey, nominated by Eden Brown, held a week-long induction for temps and provided a two-hour assessment for future training opportunities.

Lloyds TSB, nominated by Manpower, offered equal benefits to permanent and temporary staff and gave individual skill sets tailored pay-rates.

Automotive firm Yazaki Europe, which was nominated by Personnel and Care Bank, enabled all temps to make suggestions on how working conditions, equipment and environment could be improved.
