Three arrests made in GLA operation

In a joint operation with the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA), West Midlands Police have arrested two men aged 26 and 49, and a heavily pregnant female was also detained.

In a joint operation with the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA), West Midlands Police have arrested two men aged 26 and 49, and a heavily pregnant female was also detained.

The arrest was made on suspicion of supplying temporary workers without a valid GLA licence in the agriculture sector. One of the men and the female were also identified as being illegal in the UK.

The arrested men were released following interview and will be re-interviewed on 21 November. In light of her pregnancy the female was released and referred to the UK Border Agency.
