London schools will recruit from government list
The government has launched a preferred supplier list (PSL) for supply teachers in London in a bid to raise standards and cut costs.
Only agencies attaining the government’s quality mark, which sets out standards for recruitment and interviewing, have qualified for the list.
The Government Office for London, the Association of London Government and the Association of London Chief Executive Officers, have drawn up the list.
Mike Clark, managing director of International Teachers Network, one of the firms on the PSL, said: “The list will enable LEAs, schools and agencies to work together as a team to make sure pupils are receiving the highest standard of education.”
