Medical professionals are regarded as the most talented workers in Britain, according to a new poll by the Training and Development Agency.

The survey found that more than half of the 1,985 members of the public questioned regarded the medical profession as having the most talented individuals. Teachers were ranked second, with 39% categorising it as a talented profession. Both beat jobs in sectors such as law (29%), management consultancy (8%) and accountancy (6%).

The survey rated each profession on the ability to motivate and inspire, as well as creativity, leadership and strategic thinking.
