High workloads blamed

About 95% of managers suffer stress at work, a survey reveals.

The research, by online learning provider, SkillSoft, also shows that 28% have taken time off work as a direct result.

More than half (61%) say workload is the main reason for stress, while 50% attribute it to deadlines.

Kevin Young, managing director of Skillsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa, explains: “Stress in the workplace is a major issue for businesses. Helping people to manage stress can have a positive effect on their effectiveness at work and reduce the number of stress-related absences. Non-managerial staff can benefit too; our research shows that they almost as their bosses.”
