In response to In-House Hannah’s blog ‘Bored of the boards’ (Recruiter, 28 October), I am sorry to hear that your correspondent has experienced a difficult time when dealing with a particular job board, but I think it is wholly unfair to tar all job boards with the same brush.

I am sure that there are many other job boards out there which, like us, are dedicated to strong customer service, although I also accept that the comparative ease of setting digital job board businesses up has meant that there are also some that will give the poor quality of service experienced by In-House Hannah.

My advice to your readers is that you can’t go wrong with sticking to the well-known job board brands such as Times, Telegraph, FT and Jobsite, which have traditional print backers and have carried the strong customer service ethos into the digital world.

That is by no means suggesting that some independent sites do not have a strong focus on customer care, but at least with the big boys you will definitely be given a sympathetic ear if you have any complaints, and as far as I know they steer well clear of the Burlesque clubs!
