CIPD warns on broken promises
Employers are failing to deliver on recruiters’ promises of a fulfilling work experience for their new employees, the assistant director general of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is warning.
“Employees are finding the work experience didn’t match the sell,” Duncan Brown told Recruiter. The message to recruiters is that the alignment between employer and employee has never been more critical.
“Talent management and employee engagement are on the tongues of every recruitment and HR professional,” Brown added. “But how does this sit with the evidence of increasing employee demotivation and employers’ recruitment and retention difficulties?”
