Global executive search firm Spencer Stuart has successfully carried out several top media placements, according to the Association of Executive Search Consultants.

The firm recently placed former ITN boss Mark Wood to run the Future Publishing UK business. Wood will take charge of titles such as Fast Car, Classic Rockand Guitar World.

Spencer Stuart also filled another prominent media job recently with an internal candidate. The selection of Guardian Media Group finance director Andrew Miller last month to take over as GMG chief executive from Carolyn McCall followed a four-month search process.
