Beware the inebriated elk

Beware the inebriated elk

The alarm was raised at a house in Sweden when its owner encountered a drunk elk, which had managed to get stuck in his neighbour’s apple tree.

The BBC reports Per Johansson, from Saro near Gothenburg, found the elk ‘making a roaring noise’ in her next-door neighbour’s garden.

She was apparently on the hunt for fermenting apples and lost her balance and became trapped in the tree.

Fear not though, the emergency services managed to free her by sawing off branches. She spent the night nursing a hangover in the garden before sauntering off back into the woods.

Great advert for headhunting loose moose about this– no, we really can’t find a recruiting angle…
