British small businesses and local partnerships can now bid for a share of £4m of funding for innovative projects to improve the health and welfare of their workers until March 2011.

British small businesses and local partnerships can now bid for a share of £4m of funding for innovative projects to improve the health and welfare of their workers until March 2011.

The DWP’s Health Work and Well-being Challenge Fund looks for projects that promoting health and welfare at work, such as: reducing stress and improving other mental health conditions, providing healthy activities- ensuring work-life balance and supportive management.

There will be two rounds of funding. Local Assessment Panels will decide which projects will receive funding of between £1,000 and £50,000.
