SkyBlue’s disabled jobseeker provision is on track_2

The partnership between SkyBlue and Remploy helps get 80 people back to work

SkyBlue has reported how it has helped employ 80 disabled people in the rail industry through its partnership with Remploy.

The partnership puts candidates through a rail industry training programme and then places the employees in jobs throughout Wales and the west of England.

Phill Murphy, SkyBlue’s Wales and the West area manager, says: “We have worked with people aged from 18 to 60 years old. It goes to show that with dedicated support mechanisms disabled people can get good jobs.”

Research has shown that getting a job benefits the lives of disabled people by aiding rehabilitation, building confidence and increasing independence.
