New national skills academy revealed

The government has announced the approval of a new National Skills Academy for the nuclear sector, which will improve the standard of industry training, increase productivity and tackle skills shortages across England.

Employers supporting the National Skills Academy for nuclear and driving skills provision in the nuclear sector include: the BNFL, Fluor, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Serco, UKAEA and Washington Group International. The employers have contributed over £8m to the development of the National Skills Academy for Nuclear.

The skills academy will be opening its doors in January.
