Jo Cameron, an unsuccessful candidate on the 2006 series of BBC2's The Apprentice, has launched her own recruitment business, especially for women.

Midlands-based URhired will coach, help and place women into roles and companies where they are under-represented. Cameron says it will help women build career confidence at their various career stages.

Initially the business will focus on its job board, URhired.co.uk. It will later move into placing candidates with firms.

She told Recruiter that the business was still in its early stages, and refused to be drawn on how much money it had generated by advertisers on the site, but added, "It's going really well."
