Shell appoints Randstad for retail recruitment

Shell has appointed Randstad Managed Services (RMS) as its talent recruitment partner in a programme to attract self-employed retailers across the UK.

Shell has engaged RMS to manage and implement a highly targeted, UK-wide attraction campaign aimed at entrepreneurial business people looking to join a global brand.

RMS will manage the entire process, from planning and buying advertisements, through to screening, assessment, interviewing and pipeline management via its new resourcing centre based in Birmingham.

Mel Lane, general manager for Shell Retail UK, says: “RMS’s intricate understanding of attraction strategies through both traditional and social media, along with their access to Randstad’s existing franchise database, made them an ideal choice for this project.”

Seb O’Connell (right), RMS sales director, adds: “The openings provide excellent opportunities for entrepreneurs to shape their careers with a truly world-class player and we expect to receive a large number of responses to our advertisements.”

RMS has also recently signed contracts with Prudential and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
