The number of workers taking a second job has risen 90% in the last six months, according to research from PeoplePerHour.com.
Over the year the figure is up 177%.

Xenios Thrasyvoulou, chief executive and founder of PeoplePerHour.com, says: “The impact of wage cuts are having a huge impact when combined with the rise in the cost of living. The Joseph Rowntree Foundation this week has found that families with children need to earn up to 20% more than last year just to hit an ‘acceptable standard of living’.”
