Ortus Professional Search has acted as a broker and facilitated the merger between Thring Townsend and Lee & Pembertons to establish a law firm with a combined turnover approaching £20m.

Ortus was instructed to undertake this role following a briefing from Thring Townsend on their long-term business plan and strategy, which included entry into the London market. 

 Ortus made a business case for a merger, and identified feasible targets before instigating talks with a number of relevant parties and subsequently facilitating the process, leading to the successful merger on 30 July.
