Private sector employment rose in Scotland for the fourth month in a row in May.
Private sector employment rose in Scotland for the fourth month in a row in May.
The Bank of Scotland’s seasonally adjusted Employment Index rose from 50.3 in April to 51.8 in May, the fastest rate of job creation since February 2008.
However, the monthly purchasing managers’ index fell from 52.2, to 55.5, showing further growth of private sector output during May, albeit at a weaker rate.
