Royal Mail introduced tests to help it reduce 125,000 annual applications

Candidate assessment specialist PSL has been awarded a contract by the Royal Mail to design two psychometric tests to help it disguard unsuitable applicants from the 125,000 it receives each year.

Matthew Mee, Royal Mail head of resourcing, said: “With such large numbers it is imperative to make the switch to online recruitment and introduce effective and job relevant sifting tools.”

The tests, a personality questionnaire and a sorting test, will be delivered online.
