The Prince’s Trust launches personal development course for school leavers without qualifications

The Prince’s Trust, Prince Charles’ educational charity, has launched a course to help the 30,000 school leavers who fail to gain any qualifications each year.

The new City & Guilds course, in personal, teamwork and community skills, aims to help the school leavers find work.

Commercial director Carol Homden says: “One qualification can significantly increase a young person’s job prospects. This will help thousands of young people avoid a lifetime of struggling to find work.”

The certificate will be available to 16 to 25-year-olds who complete a 12-week personal development programme.
