ReThink bags Aquent's Ciecierski

Stefan Ciecierski has left his European chief executive’s role at international marketing and design recruitment agency Aquent to join ReThink Group.

Ciecierski, a founding shareholder and former managing director of PSD International, has been appointed regional director covering London and the South-East for IT recruiter ReThink Recruitment. He told Recruiter that he will be looking to “at least double it [the regional business] in size over the next year.

“What I do is develop teams of people and management teams fast,” he said. When he joined Aquent in 2002, the recruitment firm had 25 people in Europe, a figure that he took to 200. “I plan to do the same here. No standing still,” he said. He added: “The guys at ReThink have very ambitions plans” to build up a “large but high quality IT recruitment service”.

Clients already benefit from depth of knowledge and expertise in ReThink’s existing London IT recruitment team, where the average IT recruitment experience is more than 10 years per head, Ciecierski said.

Andy Lord, managing director of ReThink Recruitment, said: “We are delighted that someone of Stefan’s experience has decided to join us. We’re looking at 2010 as a year of expansion so his track record in rapidly building up profitable teams and effective managers is perfect for us.”

Founded in 2005, the ReThink Group has grown from revenues of £2.3m in its first year to £47.1m in the last 12 months to end June 2009.
Ciecierski added: “It’s nice to be working in a UK-owned business and be able to influence decisions company-wide.”
