Retention requirements
More than 70% of jobseekers would stay in their current positions if offered further incentives by their employers, according to a poll by financial recruitment firm FSS and sister company Crone Corkill.
It found that the majority answered that a salary increase would convince them to stay with their current firm, while 14% said that they would need a promotion to keep them in their job.
The survey also revealed that less than 30% of respondents said there was nothing their company could do to keep them.
Paul Marsh, director of HR, says: “With the war for talent showing no sign of slowing down, the good news for companies is that they may need look no further than identifying ways of developing their staff.
“This also highlights that staff should be encouraged to speak up about how they feel and employers should be encouraged to ensure they measure staff satisfaction. This could really help in retaining a high number of workers who begin to look elsewhere.”
