Reset Training launches Reset Certification Scheme

Sheffield-based Reset Training has launched the Reset Certification Scheme (RCS), an online proof of competence system.

It works by an individual registering with the scheme, which may be part of a company application, producing their qualification certificates and
documents, which are then scanned and verified as true copies before being uploaded to the RCS database. Once all applicant details have been validated
an RCS card is issued to the registered individual.

Each cardholder gets their own profile which can only be accessed with their unique card number and Card Verification Code, either by manual entry online
or by scanning the card barcode. Cardholders can also phone over details so they can be pre-verified before arrival on site.

Reset Training managing director Gary Duce says the scheme has been developed to meet the increasing demands being placed on verifiers, companies and individuals: “Organisations and main contractors have a duty in law to verify the competence of individuals who work on their sites. Their responsibilities
include checking everything from trade skills to health and safety accreditations along with everything else this may entail.”
