Websites under the spotlight

Recruitment consultancy websites are being put under the spotlight as part of a research project being launched by the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC) and Enhance Media, a consultancy to the recruitment industry.

The joint Recruitment Industry Online (RIO) will give an overview of the online market, as well as allowing consultancies to see how they measure up against rivals.
About 25 recruitment consultancies will take part in the project, with between 500 and 2,000 users of each consultancy filling out the questionnaires online.

“The users will be asked about their age profile, work experience, what sector they work in and their jobseeking behaviour,” explained Alastair Cartwright, commercial director of Enhance Media. The research will be published in July.
