Relationship building by Acumin in the risk sector

Recruitment company Acumin, which specialises in the information risk management arena, has relaunched it

Recruitment company Acumin, which specialises in the information risk management arena, has relaunched its website in a move that has led the site to achieve a top five ranking on Google in just four months.

The company says it aims to be both an information resource and a tool for building relationships with candidates as much as it is a place to search for jobs in the sector.

Acumin EMEA marketing manager, Hannah Goodyear, told Recruiter: "We wanted to turn the website into a resource so that people aren't just coming to the site every two or three years, when they want a new position, but weekly so they can find out what is happening in the sector." She added: "In such a niche sector, relationship building is key for us." The site also features a live news feed from online news provider Adfero.

The site was designed by marketing, design and technology agency Aedis. It has been coded in such a way that Google can easily find it when specific search terms that relate to the sector are input. Goodyear said that despite this, she wants to channel more effort into search engine optimisation.

Juliano Araujo, senior web developer at Aedis, told Recruiter that underpinning their aims was to ensure the site gave the agency a "future-proof" platform that allowed for further development.

"It is flexible enough to add new layers and features without building a new structure. It will let Acumin take its site to the next level," said Araujo. "The lifecycle of the site could be five to six years." Acumin has already launched a US version of the site based on this platform and will add new features to the UK site shortly.

While increasing interactivity, Aedis also ensured the site remains easy to navigate, so that visitors can find what they want within three clicks. There is also a time-saving automatic form-filling feature, which means that those applying for a job only have to input their details once.
